Meet Dr. Nate Haywood, DDS

Nate Heywood, DMD

Dr. Nate Heywood was born and raised in Riverton, Utah. He earned a Bachelor of Health Services Administration from Weber State University before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Heywood went on to complete the highly respected University of Florida’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in Seminole, FL. This residency provided him with extensive hands-on experience and advanced training in all aspects of dentistry. The program is affiliated with the renowned Dawson Academy and Implant Educators, which offers some of the nation’s best implant continuing education courses. Dr. Heywood is an active member of both the Colorado Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

After completing his residency, Dr. Heywood practiced in Alamosa, Colorado, for a year and a half before returning to Utah to establish his own practice, where he served the community for 5 1⁄2 years.

However, Dr. Heywood missed his time living and working in Colorado, which led him to move back for the opportunity to join Dr. Shoff and his amazing team at Iconic Dental. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Heywood enjoys spending time with his wife Cami and his 3 awesome kids, traveling, being outdoors, and working on his 1986 Camaro.
