Teeth Extractions
After administering complete, local anesthesia, Dr. Shoff will remove the tooth as a traumatically as possible. The area will then be cleaned and, if needed, bone grafting and suturing will be done to preserve or improve the bone and quicken healing. Tooth extractions are relatively simple, and Dr. Shoff and his team at Iconic Dental make every effort to ensure your comfort. After the tooth is extracted, Dr. Shoff and will provide specific instructions for post-operative care and any recommendations for the future, including dental implants.
Dental Bridges
A fixed dental bridge is a non-removable prosthesis Dr. Shoff will attach to your remaining natural teeth. The false tooth or teeth that make up a dental bridge literally ‘bridge’ the gap between natural teeth. Fixed dental bridges make a great solution for patients who have lost teeth as they make a functional and esthetically pleasing alternative. If your smile is in need of reconstruction, schedule a consultation with Dr. Shoff to see if a dental bridge is right for you.
Dental Implants
Essentially, dental implants are artificial roots, and they can support everything from single teeth, bridges, or removable partial or full dentures. They also help maintain bone height. Dental implants fuse with bone and, when restored, provide rock-solid support. Implants last for decades, and are impervious to decay, periodontal disease and hypersensitivity.
Dentures
Dentures help restore a smile back to health by replacing the form and function of missing teeth. Whether an injury, gum disease or tooth decay has caused you to lose some or all of your natural teeth, replacing those teeth will greatly benefit your overall appearance and health. That’s because dentures make it easier to do daily activities that many people take for granted, such as speaking, eating, drinking and talking. Partial or full dentures offer a long-lasting solution for repairing the smiles of patients who suffer from missing teeth. Partial dentures help fill in any missing gaps for patients who still have some of their natural teeth, while full dentures help patients with no teeth remaining regain full function.
